2026 Toronto Blitz

Welcome to the 2026 Toronto Blitz Championship!

This is an 11-round blitz (3+2) Swiss tournament played in a single section.

We strongly recommend that you register online for this event, as space is limited. 

$2100 prize fund based on 100 entrants. $700 guaranteed for first place.
Prizes for top three scores, plus:
top woman, senior, junior boy, junior girl, ACC member, best improved rating.

All players must have an up-to-date CFC membership.

All equipment is provided, as well as refreshments (coffee, tea and water.)

A first illegal move in a game will result in a one-minute penalty awarded to the opponent. A second illegal move in a game will result in a loss for the offending player.

As usual, all electronic equipment (cellphones, tablets, smart watches, etc.) must be off, unless an exception is given by the Chief Arbiter or Tournament Director.

All wearable equipment (including regular watches) should be removed.

Any player whose device sounds or vibrates during play shall lose their game.
